Acronyms

Acronyms are defined as a word formed from the initial letters or groups of letters of words in a set phrase or series of words.

Back in the 1980s a group formed in West Bloomfield called OUST.  Their purpose was to recall four elected Township officials, but they ended up only trying to recall one and he survived the election. (The others resigned)  The letters stood for 'Organization United to Save our Township'.

This morning's news has an article on a group organizing to recall the Governor.  Their slogan is 'Stand Up and Fight'.  I was thinking that they could use the acronym: STUF IT.  Or not.
